Peoria is the spring training home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. The Peoria Sports Complex was the first Major League Baseball Spring Training and player development facility in the country shared by two teams. Built in 1994, the complex has served as a model for other facilities of its kind. Through 20 year leases, the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners utilize Peoria Sports Complex year round.
In 2017, the city unveiled exciting enhancements to the complex which included Peoria Cove, a coastal-themed playground and splash park for kids and the Cactus League's largest digital scoreboard. Adults are sure to enjoy complex's unique “Craft Courtyard” featuring microbrews from Arizona, California and the Pacific Northwest.
The area surrounding the Peoria Sports Complex is known as the P83 Entertainment District and hosts numerous hotels, restaurants, shopping and entertainment.
Spring Training happens every year from February to March. For the latest news, schedules, promotions, ticket info, and more, please visit www.peoriasportscomplex.com and click on Spring Training.
