Peoria is home to 36 neighborhood parks, three large community parks, and 27 miles of public trails that allow residents to hike, bike, and experience the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert.

Paloma Community Park

Paloma Community Park is the city of Peoria's third community park. Phase One opened on October 3, 2020. The 85-acre park is packed with a broad range of active and passive recreational amenities for the community.

Pioneer Community Park features a lighted baseball/softball complex, lighted multipurpose fields, pickleball courts, a fishing lake, and picnicking areas.

The park also has a dog park, multiple restroom buildings, and an inclusive-designed playground.

Rio Vista Community Park & Recreation Center

Rio Vista Community Park & Recreation Center, a 52 acre robust indoor/outdoor facility features everything from splash pads and skate parks to racquetball courts, climbing walls and much more, is a great way to keep everyone in the family active and engaged, no matter the season.

Pioneer Community Park

Pioneer Community Park features six lighted sports fields for baseball and softball, four lighted multipurpose fields, a splash pad and playground, fishing lake, and picnicking areas.

The park also caters to canines with an off-leash dog park where they can run, swim, and socialize with their four-legged friends.

Peoria's Public Swimming Pools

The city of Peoria has three public swim pools, all offering a variety of swim and dive classes. Each facility offers swimming lessons, swim teams and dive teams, and aquatics training for lifeguards and instructors.

Individual and family passes are available for purchase each season. Pools are also available for rentals including birthday parties and private events - contact Peoria Aquatics for details. Peoria pools are open seasonally during the summer months.
